The site is currently undergoing a major overhaul and you're likely to encounter a bunch of dead links and other inconveinences, for this I apologize. I hope to have things straightened around by summers end at the least. All this nice weather keeps me from working on it like I should :o)
Spelljammer is my favorite AD&D setting, something about it just grabs at my imagination. It has a raucous, swashbuckling feel to it that makes it so appealing to me. It combines some of my favorite things, fantasy, pirates, and space. Some say, that if I want to play in space I should go play a space-themed game, but no other product blends the fantasy aspect quite as well. Others say, "Why Spelljammer when you have Planescape?" I like Planescape but the idea of just poppin' thru a portal while it is quicker, just doesn't compare to a voyage thru wildspace or a trip into the Flow, battlin' pirates or worse the entire way. Half the fun for me is the trip getting there so I'll stick with my Spelljammer. With all its faults, I still think it's the best setting, and with that in mind I've set out to create a webpage that will be useful not only to my own players, but to everyone that enjoys Spelljammer.
This page will probably never be done as I'm sure I'll never quit adding to it. At least until I outgrow the site and have to move it :o) Eventually I hope to expand it to include the other AD&D settings I muck around with. As well as other RPG's that I play, and even to some of my non-rpg hobbies.
I first got interested in building my own webpage after getting over my initial wonder to the internet. After finding the online SJ community I discovered a few really great webpages devoted to SJ. I wanted to to collect the various articles I found interesting and useful into one place, where I could add my own material as well, without surfing and bouncing around to several different sites. At first I'm going to concentrate on collecting things from other sites. I want to have something for people to look at, while I work at getting my own stuff out of my head and various notebooks and onto the site. If I've failed to cite something and you see it, please let me know so I can correct it. There's a lot of good stuff being done for SJ out here on the net and I want to make sure that I give credit to the right people.
